Course cut-off date for the course to be confirmed or cancelledFebruary 28th 2025  if the required exponent numbers are confirmed the course will be confirmed. If the required numbers are not confirmed in a specific training phase or phases the course may continue with those training phases being cancelled and the training phase or phases with the required exponent numbers being confirmed. 
Important considerations prior to course confirm or cancel cut-off date.Do not apply/course confirm unless you are 100% certain you will attend and participate with commitment, attention to detail, inner-resolve, safety and controlled aggression.   If you apply are accepted for course joining and do not complete your accepted exponent mandatory requirements including paying your course fee, you will not be accepted on any future Todd Group courses or be accepted for  training at any Todd Group depots  by any Todd Group Instructors.              
If you are not a realist then CQC is not for you. This is not a sport or traditional martial art. The Todd Group are the Oldest private training provider of our European military CQC and want only those with the smarts mental toughness commitment dedication and fitting demeanour for CQC training.  New applicants and Todd Group course confirming current members must be definite attendees. Do not make flight reservations confirm leave or undertake any other personal plans related to course attendance that can’t be cancelled until receiving confirmation of the course being conducted after the course cut-off date. If you apply are accepted and fail to complete your course joining requirements and attend the course, you will not be accepted for any future courses you apply for. Todd Group Military CQC/MSD training for civilians requires responsibility integrity and commitment.
Course joining requirementsComplete and return your on-line course application/confirmation and on being accepted for course joining, ensure you action all requirements as requested including course fees payment and providing   any requested additional information. You will be emailed a code of conduct contract that on receiving you need to complete and email return. Military Self-Defence and Military CQC training for civilians is a privilege not a right and course joining comes with responsibilities. If you submit the mandatory on-line course joining  application and are accepted then fail to pay your due fees as stipulated , any future courses applications you submit will be declined.
Course joining special requirementsAll new applicants including Todd group current exponents/proponents and instructors course confirming must be committed to attending the applied for course and accept all orders and instructions on course. The course fee is non-transferable non-refundable. All attendees are required to be responsible quietly confident exponents and respect the chain of command and course attendance conditions rules and regulations at all times.
Course application / joining conditionsCourse applications must be completed factually and honestly. Get your course application in as early as possible as the course cut-off date for confirming or cancelling courses depends on having required attending numbers by the cut-off date for the course to be conducted. If a full muster is achieved before the course cut off dates the course will be closed off to applications. No late applications accepted and once a course is cancelled it cannot be conducted. Do not apply if you are not willing to respect the chain of command and take orders/instructions. Mil CQC comes with a requirement to be able to deal with the required realities to best prepare our understudies to deal with the realities of violence. If an environment where coarse language controlled bastardisation and hard heavy and hostile training and testing practices as well as direct critiquing are the norm is something you cannot accept, then do not apply.
Course confirmation Todd Group membersComplete your course confirmation as early as possible. Note: Todd Group members do not completed the non-members full application but use the members confirmation on the Todd Group website home page above the listed courses. Make sure your membership status is current and that you have returned your annual declaration. No late course confirmations accepted and once a course is cancelled it will not be conducted.
Course joining confirmation approval Todd Group membersOn receiving your course confirmation approval pay your course fee and provide any other required information. Complete and email return the provided code of conduct contract on receiving it. Your course fee must be paid on course joining confirmation and at the latest before  the cut-off course confirm or cancel date.  
Course joining applications new exponentsAfter submitting your on-line application if requested provide any additional required information. After your application has been processed you will receive your course joining acceptance or be declined if you do not meet the course joining requirements.
Course joining acceptance new applicantsOn acceptance make payment of your full course fee. Complete and email return the provided code of conduct contract on receiving it. Full fee refunds will be provided for any courses cancelled after the cut-off date. Payment of course fees must be paid on receiving course joining acceptance and no later than 10 days after receiving your course joining acceptance.
Course official forms submission / processingOn receiving your course joining official forms they will be checked and processed. Signing your forms can be by electronic signature or typed text. You will be advised of your application being accepted or declined by email as soon as processed.
Course additional application required material / informationYou may be asked for additional application support information including a scanned copy of your current passport picture page and current driver’s license criminal history check or other information.

Course phases of training provisionThis course is a Phase 1 Basic exponent and Phase 1 assistant instructor and instructor under assessment course  of instruction. The course also includes  Phase 2 Advanced exponent and assistant instructor and instructor under assessment courses of instruction. The course is open to applications from new entry Phase 1 applicants as well as current phase 1 exponents. Phase 1 and Phase 2 assistant instructor and instructor under assessment candidates must be current active training Todd Group members of Phase 2 or 3 ranks respectively.

Course participationThis is a volunteer’s course of instruction and exponents can partake or observe any training modules without question. Some attendees want to test themselves combatively while others simply want to experience military close quarter’s combat and military self-defence, learning the skills for their knowledge and self- protection. This is up to the volunteer exponent to decide their level of participation and extent of their objective achievement requirements. Note: Attendees that do not test and pass their testing phase cannot lay claim to CQC qualification or capability.
Course code of conductAll attendees must complete and email return their code of conduct contract and conduct themselves in a mature responsible manner at all times on and off course. Training is a privilege not a right and requires high integrity and responsible behaviour at all times. Respect the chain of command; be respectful to everyone at all times. Train for self-improvement abide by orders and  instructions, always adhering to safety practices. Never cause the Todd group respected name to be brought into disrepute. Make sure you read and abide by application/declaration/code of conduct contract conditions and all rules regulations at all times pre during and post course. All attendees must abide by arrival departure and training dates and times, no exceptions. This is a group  course not individual tuition training. Civilians wanting to learn military self-defence and military close quarters combat must abide by all orders and instructions in the same manner as military exponents on military courses.  
Primary training objectives briefThe primary training objectives are for all exponents assistant instructors and instructors under assessment on course to increase their knowledge and competency  in the most current and proven Todd Group  systems  military self-defence and military close quarters combat tactics skills and methods of instructing and delivering training. The intensity of the training is determined by the commitment attention to details  and inner- resolve of the individual exponent.
Course fees new exponentsPhase 1 new entry-level Non-Thai citizens/Non current Todd Group members NZ$1500.00. Thai citizens application and course fee and general attendance course information available from our Thailand PA Fii email [email protected] This is a residential course with group stay hotel accommodation that attendees must pay the hotel for. Meals while staying in Thailand at attendees expense. Lunches on course and bottled water ordered and paid for on course by attendees. Transfers from the pre-course muster  hotel Pattaya to training facility and return post course transport included in the course fee.

Course qualifications / CertificationAll exponents on course that complete the week-long intensive training course will receive certification of course completion. Candidates that undertake the phase 1 test and successfully pass it will receive their phase test certification post course.
Course Phase test briefThe phase 1 test requires the individual candidate to have high level proficiency inner resolve and commitment in the execution of the phase 1 Basic skills including the required training hours (100 training hours or completion of a full week long intensive course). The phase test consists of a toughener and sickener phases to test the candidate’s inner resolve and intestinal fortitude  followed by the testing of their  self-defence capabilities. It also includes technique to command drill to ensure the candidates know the skills by title and execution. The combative phase sees the candidates pitted against each other and or current enemy per staff  in combative actions on   encounters where the candidates must employ the skills of phase 1 to achieve their objective. The phase test also includes battle handling exercises where the candidate will move from location to location employing the skills of phase 1 to combat and counter immediately prior unknown aggressive shock action threats.  
Course Additional / Auxiliary trainingThis intensive course of close quarters combat and military self-defence  instruction for civilians  will also include mental toughness enhancement/psychological conditioning to overcome fear and enhance combative mental toughness. (Brain to Boot program).

On acceptance requested logistics information (flight itineraries, pre and post course accommodation reservation requirements  must be provided/requested. The privacy and confidentiality of the Todd Group  and  our  individual participants  and group clients is essential and all attendees are expected to be security conscious and protect the confidentiality, privacy and security of the Todd Group and all its attendees clients  associates staff and facilitators. No unauthorised audio, video or still photographs permitted at any time.

Course training / testing related informationProper fitting attitude is most important to competency achievement. Skill first then increases in speed to achieve momentum/velocity. Less is more in the sense of individual primary skills selection and competency/proficiency increases. Train with quietly confident commitment to self-improvement. Train with safety accuracy and controlled aggression. Common sense must prevail in volunteering for phase testing. Your competency  proficiency  and confidence  must be high across all test requirements. You must have a never quit mentality.

Additional / Miscellaneous informationA full email information pack will be provided to all accepted exponents which will include all information in relation to arrival at the Suvarnabhumi or Don Muang  international airports Bangkok and transfers to the course group stay hotel Pattaya. Your accommodation reservations will be made by the Todd Group HQ in country staff  after you provide your arrival departure information and reservation requests. NZ current Todd Group  members  flights reservations can be made by our corporate travel agent on request to the Todd Group. Non Todd Group members must make their own flight reservations.  You will be responsible for paying your own course hotel bill for your accommodation which will be at a  reasonable  rate. Todd Group members reduced  course fees in relation to rank. This is a unique opportunity for civilians to experience military CQC and military self- defence living it the intensive military CQC way for a one-week long training duration. Exponents are required and expected to be quietly confident committed and respectful to the instructors, staff, facilitators in country, military personnel, civilians and fellow exponents on course. The course manager/coordinator/PA and instructors are there to ensure you have a very realistic and special combative training experience with the opportunity to test yourself at a level that meets your capabilities and requirements. If your objective is to advance up through the ranks including becoming  a Todd Group depot instructor in your country of residence/location, then it all begins with undertaking this week-long intensive course of instruction, volunteering for the phase 1 test and passing your phase 1 test. If you are a practical realist quietly confident and committed to self-improvement and objective achievement you have a good chance of achieving your objectives and passing your phase testing.
