Course participationThis is a volunteer’s course of instruction and exponents can partake or observe any training modules without question. Some attendees want to test themselves combatively while others simply want to experience military close quarter’s combat and military self-defence, learning the skills for their knowledge and self- protection. This is up to the volunteer exponent to decide their level of participation and extent of their objective achievement requirements. Unless a candidate passes testing they do not have any rank and have not proven themselves and as such have no claim to CQC/MSD qualification or tested and proven competency and mental toughness. Only a wannabe would lay claim to qualification or competency without being tested and passing testing.
Course code of conductAll attendees must conduct themselves in a mature, responsible manner at all times on and off course. Training is a privilege not a right and requires high integrity and responsible behaviour at all times. Respect the chain of command; be respectful to everyone at all times. Train for self-improvement, abide by orders and instructions, always adhere to safety practices. Never cause the Todd Group respected name to be brought into disrepute. Make sure you read and abide by your application/declaration/code of conduct contract conditions and abide by required  behaviour information in your accepted applicants information email.

Course Phase test briefThe phase 1 test requires the individual candidate to have a high level of proficiency, inner resolve and commitment in the execution of the phase 1 basic skills, including the required training hours (100 training hours or completion of a full week long intensive course). The phase test consists of a toughener and sickener phase to test the candidate’s inner resolve and intestinal fortitude, followed by the testing of their self-defence capabilities. It also includes a technique to command drill to ensure the candidates know the skills by title and execution. The combative phase sees the candidates pitted against each other in combative actions-on encounters where the candidates must employ the skills of phase 1 to achieve their objective. The phase test also includes battle handling exercises where the candidate will move from location to location employing the skills of phase 1 to combat and counter immediately prior unknown threats.
Course Additional / Auxiliary trainingThis intensive course of close quarters combat instruction will also include training in mental toughness / psychological conditioning to overcome fear and enhance combative capability (Brain to Boot program).
